Please be aware of increased activity of online event hackers
Some hacked events have been strewn with disturbing images and animated videos that are deliberate attempts to insult or frighten, especially our younger audience members. Presentations on social justice issues are frequent targets, but no online event is safe from a disruptive attack if a hacker can slip in and seize control of the screen.
There are security measures you should take to protect your event
Make sure you are running the latest software version of the sharing platform you are using. Zoom, for example, knows its popular platform requires constant security upgrades.
