The towns of Buckland, Shelburne, and Ashfield are currently seeking residents to
serve on the newly-formed West County Senior Services District (WCSSD) Board of
Managers. (NOTE: Board of Manager applicants must be residents of either Buckland,
Shelburne or Ashfield.) The Board of Managers is responsible for administration and
oversight of the District and oversight of the Senior Center (located in Shelburne Falls),
as it expands its services, programs, and fiscal activities in the coming years.

Duties will include:
• Attendance at monthly meetings, and additional meetings as needed, to review
center operations;
• Establishment of transition plan and District by-laws;
• Development of processes and practices that will broadly support the activities
of the Senior Center and ensure its smooth operation.

Individuals with general administrative or organizational experience in public or private
sectors are welcomed, as are those with specific backgrounds in human resource
management, marketing and communications, information technology, finance and
accounting, or strategic planning.
