MEETING MINUTES — September 14, 2009

4. Signed Bill for Registry of Deeds -- August $56.00
5. Signed Monthly Reports for August
6. Signed LA-3, LA-4, LA-13 & LA-15 $27,000 over Levy Limit -- Special Town Meeting 9/28
To reduce all department budgets -- total cuts = $66,636
Assessors' expense budget to be reduced by $800
7. Signed Chapter 61 Forest Plan & Applications for other chapters
8. Acted on List of Boats for Excise tax -- Motion made to not collect boat excise by Jim Richardson and seconded by Joe Mattei -- Voted unanimously to not send bills for boat excise.
Discussed these points: The list includes people from Buckland and others have expired registrations, so they may not still own the boats. There is no valuation given for the boats, so we would need to research the value of all the boats. Many are over 30 years old, with little value. It was decided that it was not cost effective to create bills, since we have insufficient information and there would not be significant money raised by billing.
9. ZBA request for abutters' lists for 16 Cooperlane Ave. -- do not know what's happening there & 128G Old Albany Road -- Cell tower work to be done
10. Letters sent to new owners for scheduling of visits (September 28 & October 26)
Waiting for responses so that schedule can be determined for each date
