MEETING MINUTES

4:30 - 5:40 - Property Inspections prior to meeting

1. Called meeting to order @ 5:48 PM Joe Mattei, Marvin Peck, & Jim Richardson present

2. Reviewed mail:

  • Building Permits - April
  • Deeds

3. Signed Previous meeting minutes

4. Signed Motor Vehicle Excise Abatements

5. Signed Monthly Reports for April

6. Processed & Signed Abatements & abatement certificates

  • Armstrong - unanimously approved abatements for 4 parcels
  • Giard - deemed denied abatement - not allowed to visit
  • Stark - Jim Richardson made a motion to lower assessment to $325,500 - seconded by Joe Mattei & unanimously approved abatement

7. Old Business

  • Reviewed progress for placing field cards on the Internet - should be up on Wednesday May 16
  • Approved & Signed FY2013 Chapter 61A -Marjorie Giard -lien registered at Registry of Deeds

8. New Business

  • Cartographic Associates had 2 issues with CAMA data & maps compared to GIS information
    1. Map 13 lot 15 -Dejnak land = 2.92 acres on map & GIS calculates as 2.2Ac
    The deed & CAMA file has 4.0 acres more or less - assessors agreed to change acreage to 2.92Ac
    2. Bardwells Ferry Road ends before town line on map - should it go across the 
    bridge or to town line? Jim Richardson stated that the bridge is owned jointly by the towns of Conway & Shelburne - town boundary should be the center line of river - Right of way through railroad land - unclear as to why road ends before town boundary - will research
  • Unanimously agreed to not send out Section 5 Excise Bills for Farm & Repair plates - since we do not charge farm excise - also noted that some businesses are not in Shelburne

9. Next meeting June 11 -- no meeting on May 28, Memorial Day
