MEETING MINUTES

1. Called meeting to order @ 6:08PM Joe Mattei & Marvin Peck present; Jim Richardson absent

2. Reviewed mail:

  • Deeds & Plans
  • City & Town
  • Highland Communities
  • 5 Maple St. Plans - need to schedule inspection of renovations when completed

3. Sign Previous meeting minutes - Joe Mattei & Marvin Peck approved & signed

4. Signed August Monthly Reports

5. Signed Bill Schedule & Staples Packing List for recent Order

6. Signed Motor Vehicle Excise abatements

7. New Business

  • Process & Sign Chapter Applications - passed over until all members present
  • Ashfield Stone was about 1/3 done on July 1 per Grey Marchese - Roy Bishop valuation using cost approach = $695,000, including land
    property card data adjusted accordingly to $693,000 total TIF building value = $61,000 @ 35% completion 6/30/2011 for FY2012 valuation total of $161,200
  • 2011 Boat Excise Tax List - Disposition - passed over until all present
  • Map of Wind Turbine locations - Joe Palmeri mentioned that Mr. Field was talking about the possibility of PILOT payment - Mr. Field was in today and assistant prepared a list of abutters for ZBA
  • Nichols - 455 Colrain-Shelburne Road - number of acres incorrect - added 0.81Ac per deed
  • DUA Small Business List - on 1 is in Shelburne
  • John Payne Question on Finished area, part of basement area is crawl space, & sheds - will let us know basement area
  • Karen Sullivan called 8/29 - Berkshire Trading @ 6 Bridge St. - out of business
  • Joe Judd - ownership of deck by Mole Hollow? - town per plan
  • Mitchell/Peckham land on Skinner Road - new survey shows 6.85 acres tax - map shows 8.74
    Will change map 23 lot 5 and records when we receive survey
  • Preparation of Disaster Plan for protection of Town Records & Equipment - assistant to prepare plan & list of records to save for assessors before 10/17
  • Estimated Tax Rate = $12.77 before Debt Service Items - increase of 11 cents
  • Estimated Tax Rate = $13.11 includes Debt Service Items - Cowell & Kingdom Hall = $23,750 Schools - Roof repairs = $54,141
  • Property Inspections - assistant will schedule some inspections before daylight savings ends
