8. Reviewed FY2012 Budgets submitted -- 2% increases for Assessors & Assistant -- annual dues for CSC CAMA increased by $100 -- (first increase in several years) - Expense budget is still level funded

9. 2010 Assessors' Annual Report for the Town Report was reviewed

10. Reviewed FVAC Chapter Land Values for FY2012 -- Productive Woodland decreased from $75/acre to $59/acre - All others remain unchanged, except cranberry production ranges

11. John Payne wants to actively pursue Tax Title Properties -- gave list to assistant
Land of Low Value -- if property is valued at less than $19,130, and the assessors & treasurer can Electronically submit necessary documents for review by DOR Law department. If approved by the DOR then the town can proceed with foreclosures without going to land court.

Assistant will work on reducing valuations on the following four properties:
379 Main St. - Steve Miskolczi - house
375 Main St. -- Leon Knapp - house
Brook Road -- Richard Parsons (8 acres)
Mohawk Trail -- (Fuhrman -- owner unknown) (24 acres)

12. Reviewed Real Estate abatement applications -approved 1 abatement, 4 denied, 4 need site visits

13. Reviewed Personal Property abatement application from New Cingular Wireless -- Roy Bishop proposed lowering assessment by $10,000; from $258,584 to $248,584 and see what they say. Their FOL is at $230,201 and Roy said it is hard to argue with wireless FOL values.

14. New Business:

  • Assessors unanimously agreed not to put Assessors Records on CSC Website
  • One veteran complained when his exemption amount went down from $1,000 to $400
    The Veterans Clause 22E states that he must have a 100% Service Connected Disability & be unable to work. He does not have a 100% rating from the Veteran's Administration
  • BOH gave assistant some folders in order to locate addresses & owners- assistant has completed
  • Assessors unanimously agreed to grant Verizon Wireless request for an extension for filing their FY2012 personal property form of list to April 1st of this year
  • Review of submitted Forms of List tabled until next meeting
  • Discussion of request from David Patrick of Patten Hill Farm Trust to have maps corrected to show more acreage per his forest management plan tabled until next meeting
