    4. Signed Motor Vehicle Excise Abatement

    5. DOR has given town preliminary certification of values -- Notices placed in local newspapers for Public Disclosure - beginning Sept. 27 and ending Oct. 14 -- must be available for at least 10 days

    6. Old Business

    • Unanimously voted to not bill owners on the Boat List from Mass Environmental Police -- the town does not collect these - many names are residents of other towns and there are no valuations listed for the boats
    • Signed Monthly Reports for August & Revised Reports for June
    • Reviewed, approved and signed Chapter applications
    • Mass Audubon letter
    • Geffen property on Mohawk Trail -- we will assess on available information on the building permits -- entire board is not welcome to measure & list
    • Michael Stein from Vipassana Center called and they will increase payment from $3,000 to $4,000 a year in total -- approx. 1/3 to fire District & 2/3 to town
      $2,750 -- town $1,250 -- Fire District
      Checks received on 9/27 - $1,750 for the town & $250 for the Fire District
      Mr. Stein stated that they have paid $28,000 for building permits also
      Joe Mattei noted that Mr. Stein met with John Payne

    7. Discuss any New Business

    • Signed Motor Vehicle Commitments -- 2009 (#11) & 2010 (#5)
    • Signed Forest Chapter Lien for Appley -- new for FY2012
    • Board noted that TransCanada's personal property amount is correct at approximately $1.3 million for permanent rubber dam and controls installed in 2005
    • Noted that Veteran's agent notified assistant that a veteran was living in basement at 90 Shelburne Center road -- no action necessary
