The Franklin County Solid Waste Management District has announced dates for 2018 bulky and hazardous waste collection.

  • Spring “Clean Sweep” Bulky Waste Recycling Day: May 5
  • Annual Household Hazardous Waste Day: Sept. 22
  • Fall “Clean Sweep” Bulky Waste Recycling Day: October 20

The Town of Shelburne Housing Committee has prepared a housing plan that identifies housing needs in town and potential strategies to address those needs. A final draft of the plan and executive summary is available for public review and comment. Please send comments to Alyssa Larose at the Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG): alarose@frcog.org, 413-774-3167 x127. Comments received by February 1st will be included in the plan.

Two documents prepared by the the Town of Shelburne's Housing Plan committee may be viewed.

First is the Housing Plan Public Comment Draft.  Note this is a large document ( 7 megabytes ).

Second is the Executive Summary of the housing plan.

There will be a planning board public hearing on Wednesday, February 14th at 7:00 PM in Shelburne Town Hall.  The hearing is to allow public review of proposed zoning bylaw changes including a subsection for Marijuana Establishments.
